who said English is easy?
We'll begin with a box; the plural is boxes,
But plural of ox is oxen, not oxes.
One fowl is goose, but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of muose should never be meese.
You'll find a lone mouse, or a nest full of mice,
But the plural of house id houses, not hice.
If i speak a foot, you show me your feet
And i give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth, and a set is called teeth,
Why wouldn't the plural of both be called beeth?
If the singular's this, and the plural is these,
Should the plural of kiss be writen as keese?
One may be that, and two would be those,
Yet haat in the plural would never be hose.
And the plural of cat would never be cose.
We speak of a brother, and also of brethren,
But though we say mother, we never say methren.
The masculine pronouns are he, his, and him,
But imagine the feminine, she, shis, and shim!
English is funny; on that we agree,
But alphabet soup makes no sense to me. cac ban hay cho loi nhan xet nha!!!
