Workshop: GIVING GIFTS

Gift giving is a fundamental social action in many societies. It’s likely that everyone loves receiving gifts and also giving them no matter the occasion they celebrate or the country they live in. Come and join with us to share your ideas about that.

Part 1: Warm up (10 minutes)
Part 2: Free talk (40 minutes)
1. What kind of gifts do you like (practical gifts/decoration gifts/gifts that you can eat/spiritual gifts or money)? Do you have some presents that were given to you when you were young and you are still keeping it until now?
2. When you receive a present from your lover or buy it to him/her, what do you think about first (the prize of the gift/how you can use it /appreciation or happy)? Why?
3. Why do men always have to be the one to give the present to women on holidays (Valentine, Women’s day…) or anniversary? What do women think about this? It’s fair, isn’t it? How much should men spend to buy gifts for their lover?
4. If a gift’s spiritual meaning is more important than its prize, then why do employees always try to give their boss expensive presents (like: expensive moon cake, big lucky money)? Imagine that if you were a boss, what would you think? Honesty will be appreciated.
