Reality TV show has become very popular with shows such as “The voice”, “Dancing with the stars” and “Just the two of us” attracting big audiences and making a lot of money for broadcasters. A definition of reality TV show is quite difficult but at its most basic it means programs that show things taken place in reality, rather than drama or comedy that follows a script.
Part 1: Warm up (15 minutes) – Who I am?
Part 2: Free talk (35 minutes)
1. Do you like watching reality TV shows? Why or why not?
2. Name of the reality TV shows you know. Which ones do you enjoy?
3. What do you think of the scandals concerning reality TV shows in Vietnam? Do you think they are true or is it just an attempt to attract more audiences?
4. Would you like to be a contestant on a show or do you know anyone that plans to participate?
5. Someone say that reality TV shows do more harm than good? What is your opinion?
Part 3: Presentation and Q&A (20 minutes)
Part 4: Group (40 minutes) - Reality TV shows
Creating a show such as: Vietnam Idol, Vietnam Got Talent, The Voice, Vietnam’s Next Top Model, and so on. You should remember that the complete show has to have both contestants and the jury.
