Hello There,
To support your idea, I would like to bring up another source about learning English.
Base on CNN last time, before openning oplympic in Bejing, 50,000 chinese people registered to learn English, and most of them were 30 to 55 years old. They kept working on day time and went to English class in everning. They had known they studied English very hard for 3- 6 months, and they might use it for one month, but they were so happy for it.
