Next time
Next time
In the summer I worked for a family restarant. I usually finished at 2 a.m, and my parents expected me home immediately after. But one night, my friends pick me up after work to go to a party. I lost track of the time until, to my dismay, I saw it was 5:45 a.m. I rushed home, and as tiptoed to my besroom, I heard my mother called out, "What are you going up so early?"
"Couldn't sleep," I replied. "Thought I'd go for a run."
I went for a run, stayed up all day, went to work all night and finally got home. On my bedroom door was a note from Mom: "Carole, next time remember to mess the blankets on your bed."

lovelycat, it is a thoughtful story. You have a very considerate mom. However, "next time", you should not stayed up that long, it might do harm to your health. Knowing your mom well, you should have told her the truth and stayed in bed... And don't feel upset at me because of my different opinion, do you ?:)
By the way, it would be better if you use past tense in the sentence "my friends pickED me up" and rephrase the question "What are you up to, so early?" or "Why are you getting up so early?", instead of "What are you going up so early?"
Sorry, I just want to make your writing perfect...

Hello Lovely Cat,
In studying English, I rewrited your story and I hope you don't mind. Please accept my apology if you are not satisfy.
Thanks.
In the summer, I worked for a family restaurant where I usually finished my work at 2:00AM that my parents expected me going home as soon as possible. Unfortunately, something coming up, one night, my friends picked me up after working and headed up for a party, then I forgot the track of time. Until 5:45 AM, in panic, I rushed going home. When my tiptoes just touch my bedroom, my mother called out, "What are you going up so early?"
"Couldn't sleep," I replied. "Thought I'd go for a run."
Then I went for a run and stayed up all day. When I finished my work another night, I got home, and I saw a note from my Mom on my bedroom door: "Carole, next time remember to mess the blankets on your bed."
