IELTS Speaking Part 3 – Template Band 7.5+ for Disadvantages Questions
Theo sau một câu hỏi về advantages thường sẽ là câu hỏi về disadvantages, vì vậy theo sau template Advantages trong ielts speaking part 3, tuần trước sẽ là template cho Disadvantages nhé các IELTS Speaking Warriors.
Đầu tiên thì dưới đây là form câu hỏi của bộ đôi advantages – disadvantages:
What are the advantages of train travel?

Are there any disadvantages?
Để đảm bảo tính hợp lý thì hai câu trả lời của IELTS speaking Takers nên có cấu trúc tương tự nhau, với ngôn ngữ về lợi – hại được sử dụng hợp lý.
1. Bắt đầu là lời giới thiệu về sự tồn tại của disadvantages:
- I think it’s fair to say that there are a few negative aspects.
- I’m sure most people would agree that there are some drawbacks.
- Of course there are a couple of shortcomings.
2. Giờ giới thiệu ý chính bạn muốn đề cập:
- I guess the most impractical characteristic would be that...
- I suppose the most unfavorable quality might be that...
- Unquestionably, the most adverse feature would be that...
3. Mở rộng câu trả lời một cách đơn giản, ví dụ như: "...trains are often overcrowded..."
Và phát triển ý này với một phrase trong list sau:
- Most people would agree that this is problematic because...
- This is an obvious weakness because...
- This is a clear limitation because...
Thêm một lời giải thích ngắn gọn, ví dụ "...on a long journey you might not be able to find a seat." và bạn đã hoàn thành ý thứ nhất rồi.
4. Tiếp đến là ý thứ hai:
Correspondingly, an additional weak point may be that...
- Supplementary to this, a further handicap may be that...
- At the same time, another stumbling block might be that...
5. Tương tự ý thứ nhất, phát triển nó ra thêm:
- And the trouble with this is that...
- And this can be a hassle because...
- This is usually an aggravation because...

What are the disadvantages of train travel?
I think it's fair to say that there are a few negative aspects. I suppose the most unfavorable quality might be that trains are often overcrowded at certain times of year. This is a clear limitation because on a long journey you might not be able to find a seat which means you have to stand up for hours. At the same time, another stumbling block might be that train tickets are sometimes difficult to buy, especially around Spring Festival, and this can be a hassle because it means you can’t always travel on the actual day that you want to.
