A Broken Hearted
A broken hearted man
stands lonely on a beach.
he looks out to the ocean,
but it was just an ocean of memories.
The beautiful beach,
the cool ocean breeze,
meant nothing to this man.
for he was a man without his love.
He never knew he needed her
until she was out of sight.
now he would give anything
to be with her for just one night.
Never in his life,
had he wanted anything more.
to undo the mistake he made,
and have her back as before.
If only he knew back then,
that he lelf so strongly this way.
if only he knew about this pain,
that refuses to go away.
He wouldn't have done what he did.
'cause as much as she was hurting,
now he's hurting ten times more.
oh,he's hurting so much more.
A broken hearted man,
walks alone on a beautiful night.
as he gazes up to the heavens,
he prays to God that she alright.
He sees the many stars up above.
they're so fine from where they are,
memories of an ill-fated love,
that has come and went,so very far.
He turns around while heading home,
to look at the scenery again.
taking in every detail of
the beach,stars,and white sand.
He then says out loud:
"if only she was here,
it would be so perfect."
if only...if only she was there.
A broken hearted man,
walking home all alone.
thinking of things that was said,
late one night on the phone.
He wonders if he been replaced yet
in the heart of his beloved.
no boubt that it is so,
since it's been so long...so very long
He wants to let this go,
'cause it's eating him up inside
nut all his guilt and pain
won't go away without a fight.
He's fighting so hard,
that he's going insane.
so what else can he do?
but surrender to his pain.
A broken hearted man,
walking towards a pay phone.
he calls to say" I love you"
but she wasn't even home.
He heard her voice say to him,
"Leave a message after the tone."
so he does what she says,
and left his message on the phone.
"A broken hearted men,
Stands lonely on a beach..."
