What if I won $1 million on the lottery?
What if?
‘With plenty of what-ifs Paris could be held in a bottle’. Things are always like that: regrets, hopes, dreams and also imaginary fabrications form part of our life.
So what if I won $1 million on the lottery? Without any hesitation, I would pay for both of us, my wife and myself, to go on a luxury 80 nights world cruise on the Queen Elizabeth II. It would be great!
I don’t know why but this idea of going on a cruise has always obsessed me. Maybe I subconsciously think that I could never afford to do it or because I have always been attracted by the lifestyle on a cruising ship through some documentaries.
Let us imagine a trip departing from Southampton to the Caribbean Sea, Panama Canal, Fiji, New Zealand, Sydney, Bali, Madagascar, Cape Town, and finally come back to Southampton. Then let us enjoy drinking a fruit cocktail with a suspicion of vodka every evening beside some stylish bar before sharing the dinner at the captain’s table on which caviar, ‘foie gras’, oysters and champagne are commonplace.
‘Hey, what are you daydreaming about? There’s the fridge door to be fixed.’ My wife has awakened me to the reality of the life! Well, I have snoozed a little.
What if now I first repair that f...... fridge door, otherwise I would get into trouble the whole day with my wife!
