Oop! How crazy my last sentence is! My last sentence was open to misunderstanding. (I can guess that you couldn’t catch my idea in the last sentence which I closed in quotation marks. Is it right?)

Yes, I could see your blog but not click directly the link u gave in this thread. I copied it then paste to IE. Here for sure you can't post the link directly cuz the owner doesn't allow u to send the link. Anyway I can look around ur blog and it is amazing. By the way, you are so humble(modest)that I feel a little bit embarrassed . You said your English is bad but I don't think so. As I see in this thread you created, you are advancer for using English. I might look up to u cuz my english still sucks and sometimes I get stuck n don't know which words I have to use.Hopefully I will find the good way to enhance this skill.

Dear my Hanoi friend!
First of all, I want to say “thank you” for your compliment on my English. To me, my English is not good enough for my job as my second language. My major was English and French during the school time. However, I realized that my English is as tiny as your nick name “sontiny”…That’s just my joke…please, don’t mind it...ok? I reaaly want to make you smile sometimes when reading my reply. I wonder if you could let me know how old you are. I need to know your age –the reason is quite simple-because we are friend.
Regarding about writing skill in English, my opinion is read as many newspapers as possible a day. We should learn by heart some sentences which are set up with a good grammar structure when reading newspapers. Surely we encounter the same problem. That is choice of words. We are unable to make up our mind when we want to write a sentence which is chosen a right word in a certain case. We want to speak, write, listen and read English naturally. That means we want to reach to the advance level (level IV is quite good in English = native speaker). When reading my English, it would appear to have been written by someone who is Vietnamese.
I decided to join to this forum because I realized that this forum have supported many useful information for me to reach to English. Last but not least, I can find some friends here where we can exchange and get better and better our English. Hopefully do everyone in general and both of us in particular improve our international language thru this site. Break a leg! (=good luck!)
PS: I suggest that we could post a sentence or a paragraph in Vietnamese and then we will try to translate it to English. Do you agree with me on my suggestion? If I know the correct way to choose the words in English, I will correct your sentence and vice versa.

First of all, thanks for sending me the wish. I wish u too. You were asking me my age, I can tell u. I am less than u 2 years old but my face looks like a 16-17 years old boy. I don't know y I am still so young even if my age is not young. Maybe I am a little bit childish n always play with some kids like my nieces and nephews. Secondly,your suggestion is quite fantastic that I feel nervous a bit cuz my English is not good enough to translate Vietnamese phrases or Idioms or thesaurus into English. Probably I prefer talking to translating into English but I will try my best to give u my own opinions about what topics u r gonna give me. By the way, I am fascinated and happy to talk with u in English. I am not shy to speak English at all. Actually I always flirt some girls by speaking, chatting and confiding in English cuz I love the language so so much. Just kidding don't think it's true ;).

I am going to post an article in Vietnamese. We must translate it to English. Then, we will correct it together. Of course, we will correct grammar structure and choice of words. That is the best way for us to find out our mistakes and improve English in the near future.

+ recovery: sự khôi phục/hồi phục lại nền kinh tế
Vậy chúng ta chọn từ "recovery" nhé)

Theo ḿnh câu mà bạn hỏi không được chia ở bị động
Chúng ta xét về nghĩa của động từ cheer nhé
+ cheer: làm vui mừng, làm phấn khởi, làm hớn hở
thuyanh phân tích câu này thử nhé
vd: Ông ta hết sức vui mừng/phấn khởi v́ tin đó ==> He was greatly cheered by the news (Câu này phải được chia ở bị động)
Câu của chúng ta th́ ngược lại là the new (không phải là người) ở vị trí làm Subject nên chúng ta không chia bị động ở câu này v́ bản thân nghĩa của từ (làm cho cái ǵ phấn khởi) (nếu ta chia bị động th́ là bị làm cho cái ǵ phấn khởi rồi)
1 vd khác: Hoa luôn làm cho căn pḥng vui mắt lên ==> Flowers always cheer a room up. (câu này giống y như cấu trúc của câu chúng ta dịch trong đoạn báo phải không, câu này không chia bị động)
Bạn có thể kiểm tra lại những ǵ ḿnh phân tích trong từ điển Lạc Việt của từ cheer. Ḿnh lấy vd từ trong đó ra để phân tích cho bạn rơ đó.

Most people on this earth speak english, i found most of useful document, info in English, But how to study english well, you can find a huge stock of answer. And the question is which will be my effective one. Find a center, get involed, do it as well as you enjoys it. Stop thinking bout' how, that's the question for teacher not for student.
