thanks to "ngoin member"

"Talking Out Of Your Ass" often times is exemplified by one speaking with confidence (or even authority) on something which they have little to no knowledge about. More often than not, this is for the purpose of convincing someone else that the speaker is an expert of sorts on the topic, subject, or event in question.

Dear Blueeyes,

I am so sorry to say, but Ngoin is right, and you are wrong Blueeyes!

What you posted is an excerpt from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie which talks about many types of lies, and NOT the definition of "talking out of one's a**".

If I were to say that you are "talking out of your a**", I really meant to say, "What an idiot! You are talking nonsense! Shut your potty mouth and give your a** a rest."

Why don't you go to "Cassell's Dictionary of Slang By Jonathon Green's site and look up the definition of that vulgar language or "google" it and see for yourself, huh! (Let me know if you can not find it, and I will tell you the site that has that definition, ok!?).

Anyway! "Talking out of one's a**" is considered "VULGAR LANGUAGE". People who use it are often looked at (perceived) as "VULGAR AND UNEDUCATED". So, please do not use it.

Use "be talking through your hat" instead of that vugar language please!

http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/talk+through+(one's)+hat
"be talking through your hat" (old-fashioned, informal):
to be talking about a subject as if you know a lot about it when in fact you know very little. The man's talking through his hat. He doesn't know the first thing about banking.

Types of lies
Lying by omission
Lie to children
White lie
Emergency lie

Jocose lies
Jocose lies are lies which are meant in jest and are usually understood as such by all present parties. Sarcasm can be one example of this. A more elaborate example can be seen in storytelling traditions which are present in some places, where the humour comes from the storyteller's insistence that he or she is telling the absolute truth despite all evidence to the contrary (ie. tall tale). There is debate about whether these are "real lies", with different philosophers holding different views (see below).
Augustine of Hippo divided lies into eight kinds, listed in order of severity:
1. Lies in religious teaching.
2. Lies that harm others and help no one.
3. Lies that harm others and help someone.
4. Lies told for the pleasure of lying.
5. Lies told to "please others in smooth discourse."
6. Lies that harm no one and that help someone.
7. Lies that harm no one and that save someone's life.
8. Lies that harm no one and that save someone's "purity."

When you meet a fool, look within and examine yourself. (Confucius)
